Religious Tourism of the Koran Al-Akbar

Palembang should be proud to have a work of Koran carving that has been recognized as the largest in the world today.

Not only the biggest, this giant Al Quran is also one of the main destinations for religious tourism that comes to Pempek City.

For those of you who have never come to this place, you will be amazed by the scratches of the holy Koran that are carved on the Tembesu wooden plate which has a length of 177 cm and a width of 140 cm, and the Tembesu wood plate itself has a thickness of up to 2.5 cm.

You can meet the 630 pages of the Al Quran engraved at the IGM Al Ihsaniyah Islamic Boarding School, Gandus District, Palembang, South Sumatra.
